St. John's 150th anniversary is April 18, 2014.  The congregation will begin a year long celebration starting April 18, 2013 with trivia and stories in the bulletin.  The main celebration will be the weekend of October 5 and 6, 2013.  Our synodical president, Pastor Matthew Harrison, will do a conference on Saturday, October 5 followed by an organ recital with Dr. Crystal Rossow.  Refreshment will follow.  On Sunday, October 6 Pastor Harrison will preach and lead bible study.  A catered dinner will be served later that day.  Confirmands will be invited for a reunion also on that day.  A committee has been formed to plan St. John's 150th anniversary.  For over a year now, this committee has been working hard planning and arranging for publicity, invitations, music, speakers, games, historical church relics, past member interviews, entertainment, catering, decorations, and financial planning.

New cookbooks and Good Shepherd ornaments are currently being sold between services and from the church office - and are now available
online! - to raise money for this special occasion.  Also, a new picture directory of members will be made to go along with the 150th anniversary of St. John's.  Please contact one of the committee co-chairs if you have any questions or would like to donate funding for this event.
